Silks & Contortion
Born to a family of artists and academics and raised around the world, Antonia’s creativity, curiosity and inability to stop moving was encouraged. After having competed at an elite level in several sports including artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline, and competitive cheerleading, she transitioned into the world of circus.
Having realized the opportunities for innovation and self-expression in that medium, she sought out more training and was accepted at the prestigious National Circus School in Montreal, where she graduated in June 2016.
Some of her past projects include contracts with the Grand Opéra de Montreal, Montreal Complètement Cirque, Cirque Éloize, and Cirque du Soleil Special Events. Additionally Antonia coaches La Compagnie Izumi aerial dance troupe during their events thrice yearly as part of a social circus project with girls aged 10-20 living in impoverished neighbourhoods in the Poitou-Charente region of Southwestern France.
